You can even share your trackers with Friends & Family, so that others can simultaneously access and benefit from your Trax.

Up and running in no time

Setting up your Trax is a simple three-step process: download the free app, register and add your Trax. The app comes with default settings for pets or children and an intuitive interface, and is available on the App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. Trax is free to use in the following countries for two years, after which you can choose to subscribe for a minimal fee: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK and USA. Visit support. traxfamily. com if you have questions or need any extra assistance.

The main view of the app lets you access all the information you need in just one click. The radial menu in the lower part of the screen links to useful features such as 'geo fences', 'map settings' , 'add Trax' and Facebook check in. The menu in the left corner is where you find 'settings', 'shop', 'list of trackers', 'alerts'.

Augmented reality

Trax Augmented Reality view uses your smartphone’s built-in camera not only to locate, but to indicate the distance to your tracker. So if you’re struggling to know what direction to go to find your child or pet, simply flip the phone to a standing position or tap the icon in the upper right corner of the app. The screen will automatically split into two parts, the camera will start and by moving your phone, you’ll be able to see in which direction and how far away your Trax is.

Scheduling

The Trax scheduling feature allows you to schedule your Geo fences so they are active only at certain times, for example on school days between 8 AM and 4 PM. Each Geo fence can have its own schedule, enabling you to monitor areas on specific days and hours.

Geo fences

If there are areas you don’t want your loved one to leave, such as your back yard, or ones that you don’t want them to enter, you can define areas or 'safe zones' with the Geo fence tool. Once you have created a zone, you can receive alerts on your phone whenever Trax enters or exits the zone or set a schedule for when it should be active and you can change the size or style of your Geo fences at any time simply by touching and dragging with your finger. Types of Geo fences include: rectangular, polygonal and freehand (proximity is coming soon).

History view

The History view reveals where your tracker was at certain times – so if you’re wondering where your loved one has been, view the history in either list or map mode. This feature is especially good for people wondering what their pets get up to when they are on their own.
