I did this primarily for fun, but I also thought it added peace of mind to always be able to track my vehicles. The cost for doing this is around $55-65 as you need a phone, car charger, and power adapter. Ideally I think it would be nice if this could be hidden somewhere it wouldn't be visible at all but finding an easy way to provide power in a hidden area proved difficult. Video is ugly, and I didn't speak at all, just designed to give an overview of how I strapped the phone and the cables down.
