Everyone take a deep breath and relax. Whether you have a SD28 or a SJ4000 chances are you still have a very good camera. It is all in the firmware. You need to research your firmware and make sure it will work for you. Be sure to make a note of your current firmware before uploading another to your camera. Check to see that your original firmware is available to download incase what you install doesn't work, you can alway re-install the old one back. Sometimes the new firmware isn't as good as the old one. Just be cautious.
