Offline GPS maps are valuable, piratical apps that no phone should be without. Most phones have a GPS unit on board, but don't have the ability show you your location on a map without using cellular data. Most of these offline GPS apps are paid, but my favorite one is free.
Navfree or Navmii (A free app) are the easiest, and most convenient ones that I have used in the past. Its accurate and has the ability to search addresses directly from Google.
