But that doesn't mean all these scooter startups won't be a transformative event in transportation. In fact, Bird (a Lime competitor) has become the quickest startup ever to reach a billion dollar valuation.
So... the scooters felt a bit brittle and their ride rattled our teeth.
Also, we were frustrated to walk around the city for an hour trying to locate scooters on the map that we could never find (we suspect people are bringing them indoors and preventing others from renting them).
With that said, they're price competitive with buses and they're super energy efficient. Though we didn't Fall in Love with Lime's first attempt, I'm excited to see how the 2018 scooter wars play out.
