In June/July I went to three different locations and set up a camera to record bike lane traffic in San Francisco. This video covers the data for Valencia and 20th street. I did this because I wanted to see what the break down looked like between normal bikes and electric bikes as well as how popular other forms of transportation (electric scooters, skateboards, etc) looked like. Now that I have some baseline data, I'm looking forward to shooting this again and seeing how data changes over time. Certainly I'm seeing tons of ebikes pop up all over town, but it will be interesting to see if ebikes end up replacing bikes or just end up being a pricey niche.
